DATE_FORMAT MySQL Error#: 1064

Hi:

Anyone has any idea why this SELECT statement: [SELECT DATE_FORMAT(NOW(), '%W, %D %M %Y') AS `date`] returns the following error message?

MySQL Error#: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE 0 = 1' at line 2

Despite the error message, the date still shows like this: Tuesday, 27 Oct. 2015 (Code: (<?php echo($row_yes['date']); ?>) from recordset 'yes') although it should show the month as "October"

Thank you for your attention

Can I see the page with the error... maybe it is an error from a different recordset on the page.
