Ecart session expires in Safari after closing browser

Hi,
I have came across an issue with my Ecart. If a user adds items to the cart when using Chrome i can close the browser and If i open the website again all the items are still in the shopping cart but with Safari the session seems to end and after closing and opening the browser again the cart is empty which is not what i desire, how can i make the session to persiste in Safari after closing the browser?

Thanks

No. Sessions are supposed to expire when you close the browser window. This is how it should work with all browsers.

If you want data stored more permanently you will have to use cookies and a database for long term storage. The Session won't work for storing data beyond the browser session.
