Adding required checkbox to checkout page

hi there

I'm trying to add a required checkbox to a checkout page. By required I mean it has to be ticked.

The page already has several validations as follows, is it possible to just write a similar line of code to test the checkbox ?

WAValidateRQ(document.ecart_checkout_form.shipping_street1,'- Shipping Address is required',document.ecart_checkout_form.shipping_street1,0,false,'text');

thanks for your help

That is really old client validation code, so I can't say for sure, but you can try... I think it would work just copying that line and putting in the checkbox name and new message.

hi Ray

Yeah tried that - is there any new client-side validation code or should I use Spry Validations instead you think ?

thanks

These days you can use HTML5 validation and just add the parameter "required" to the input field and the browser will take care of it.
