Framework file found for Google search

I followed the tutorial for implementing Google Search functionality on my website but the search not working. I get the following error message after trying to search my website: Framework file not found: webassist/google/search/plugins/google-search_custom_search.php

Can someone please advise me what I am doing wrong? Just so you know, I am working locally on my MacBook with MAMP server.

Thank you,
Robert

Does that file exist in your site? Do you have a live server you can upload your files to so that I can see the error and debug it? Without files to look at all I can suggest is that the error means that page doesn't exist on the server and it should.

Yes, the file exists on my local server which is why I am wondering what the problem might be. Does the Google search only work on a www. domain or can it work on my local MAMP server, http://localhost:8888/MAMP/MyWebsiteFolder/ ?

It should work locally as well. Maybe try uploading it to a live server and if you still have problems I can get FTP information and help you debug it.

Ray,

Thank you for that advice. Once my website is ready to go live I will debug and retest the Google Search. I actually incorporated the search feature from DataAssist to be my work horse search engine. I find the DataAssist search more beneficial as I am working on an e-commerce website.

Thanks again,
