Error with submitting form using PEAR Mail

Thread began 10/09/2015 11:14 pm by teresa328019 | Last modified 10/12/2015 2:11 pm by Ray Borduin | 342 views | 1 replies |

Error with submitting form using PEAR Mail

I am trying to submit a form using PEAR Mail. I have PEAR installed on my server and I have another form that is using PEAR with no problems.

On my form I am getting the error: Fatal error: Class 'Net_SMTP' not found in /usr/local/lib/php/Mail/smtp.php on line 349

Line 349 in smtp.php file is:

$this->_smtp = &new Net_SMTP($this->host,

I'm not really sure why this is causing a problem, since I am using the same method on another form. I also updated PEAR modules on the server.

Any help would be great.

It sounds like an installation problem with PEAR on the server.

I searched on that error and found someone else that said:

  I downloaded the following, and put them in /Net

I had to adjust the permissions of the SMTP and Socket libraries so they could be read by Apache.

And voila, it worked!
