Power Store 3 Prior Version Errors

Power Store 3 Prior Version Errors

I have to add some fields to my Power Store 3 product pages. The problem is I have all the up-to-date WA extensions and PS3 was built on prior versions. For instance, I can't seem to get the UpdateForm to appear so I can edit it. When I manually add the fields and go to Server Behaviors, I see a lot of red exclamation marks denoting that there are (prior version) incompatible problems. When I click on those to fix, some are easy to fix, others are not.

What is the best way for me to edit PS3 admin pages or to convert my PS3 store to be compatible with the new extensions?

It really depends on what you are doing whether it is worth updating to the current version or just hand editing to make the change.

In most cases I'd probably not enter server behaviors and try updating them since they will still be out of date on other pages and you probably don't want to update the entire site trying to make a small change.

I'd add the fields manually and then probably add the validation manually by looking at the code and copy/paste using one of the existing validations as a starting point.

I came to the same conclusion so I am creating my own ecommerce cart with ecart6. But please see my new ticket regarding missing record set.
