Dynamic Plugin with Session Variable

Can you please tell me if there is a way to use the dynamic plugin with session variables please?

I understand the way that it works with a URL Variable but not sessions.

I was hoping that the options would have been available similar to security assist page access or Data Assist triggers.

I have removed the static plugin of the email button and the update form works as expected.

I tried adding the email button as a dynamic plugin, but the update form would not work as per my original post

Was the email redirecting after sending? Maybe the redirect was happening before the update could take place. Make sure the email plugin is below the update plugin on the page and it should work properly.

And you should be able to use a dynamic plugin with session variables just like you would with url parameters... there should be no difference except you will need to start the session on the top of the page..

Hi Ray

The email was set to redirect to the page that the button was on and was working without any problem, it was the update button that wasnt doing anything at the bottom of the page.

The update is now working as I have removed the plugin that contained the email button.

Reference the Session Variable/Dynamic Plugin

When I used the dynamic plugin I selected the session variable isLeader and then in the value put 1 is this correct?

Right...and if the email redirects it would prevent the update from working because it would redirect before the update code could run. That is why it would stop working when added and start working once the email was removed.

Yes I believe that would work with the session variable.

So would I just leave the redirect blank?

Yes, or move the email code below the update code so that the update has a chance to run before the email sends and redirects to another page.

You had the same form ID on the page repeated for the email. The email page doesn't need a form at all. I removed the html code from the email page and it is working now.
