Auto-fill from recordset? How to pre-fill a form field as the user types + saving their selection's unique ID to dbase

Auto-fill from recordset? How to pre-fill a form field as the user types + saving their selection's unique ID to dbase

I have a list of venues, from a recordest, in a drop down menu. Rather scrolling through hundreds of results to find the one they need, I'd like the user to be able to just type and have the menu offer suggestions based on what they've typed.

Then, when they've selected a match - from a list I assume - I need it to display in the form field as the text but to save to database as the unique ID for that venue.

Is there a WebAssist extension for this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We don't have an extension for it, but you should be able to use the jquery autocomplete feature to do that pretty easily: https://jqueryui.com/autocomplete/
