eCart object delete columns

Within the eCart object setup I am unable to delete any of the default columns. I'd like to delete the weight and thumbnail columns but when I select those the delete icon does not activate.

Using DW CS4.

Weight is necessary for shipping integration, and thumbnail is used in many of the pre-packaged cart displays... that is why you can't delete them.

However just ignore them. You can leave them blank and pretend they aren't there, it won't effect the functionality of the cart to have unused columns.

I would think with the many products today that don't require shipping (such as your software for example) that the ability to remove those columns would be a given.

There is no real need to remove the columns because they can be ignored and not used. We prevent removing them because many new users may accidentally remove them and not realize their use later.
