Insert, Update not working

These are the steps I follow but they don't work (as you will see at end of list)
The steps apply both to an Insert form and Update form

I have a form to be completed or updated.
I have made connections to databases including MySQLi
In the Bindings tab I have a Recordset which works OK on Test
(Also a frmData for the data to be completed and the default Server Variables)
I then go via Server Behaviour to either MySQLi Insert record or MySQLi Update record and complete form
In the case of the Update form the value that appears in Lookup value is $_GET['dc_index'] which is different from other pages where things work OK
I then go to Column Bindings
In both cases selecting a column and the the lightning icon I get the form "
Setup instructions. To use dynamic data in this page
Create a site
Choose a document type
Setup a testing server
Create a Recordset
all of which I've done.

I had no problems when working on this last dynamic web site during last winter but now that I pick it up again after a summer not programming my brain seems to have lost some vital bits of information regarding using WebAssist and gone back to my Newby status!

Are the steps all checked? Try opening the bindings tab and clicking the refresh icon in the upper right hand corner... sometimes that works.

If you continue to have problems, please post a US phone number or Skype contact information and I can debug this with you in a screen sharing session.

nsert, Update not working

Thanks for the very prompt response.
Refreshing unfortunately didn't help.
Are the steps all checked? Sorry - don't understand that one! What steps.
I'm in the UK so can't supply a number and although I have a Skype account I've never had a need to use it so would have to first learn how to use it and then check it out.
I'll keep the thread open while I go back to basics and learn how to use WebAssist again. At my age remembering some thing from last week is hard enough, never mind last March!

The setup instructions:

Setup instructions. To use dynamic data in this page
Create a site
Choose a document type
Setup a testing server
Create a Recordset

they should be checked off as they are done. If they don't have a check it means Dreamweaver thinks that step isn't done.

None are checked so that is the problem.
The only difference between the work I did on this earlier in the year and now is version numbers.
Windows now 10 instead of 8.1. Dreamweaver I think was CS6 but could have been CS5.
Anyway, a bit late here to investigate further now so talk to you again tomorrow.

If none are checked, then the first one is the issue "Create a site" make sure you have a site created and the page you have open is saved into the site's root directory.

Insert, Update not working

The good news is that I've got it working; the bad is that I have no idea how which is not very helpful to anyone!
I stripped the page right down the basic HTML layout code and then started from scratch adding the dynamic elements from WebAsssit. This time it worked.
As for your last suggestion Ray, regarding Create a Site I did have one created and pages were saved into the site's root.

Anyway, thanks for the help.
