allowed files

Hi

I've just used the 'attachment' option in UE for the first time - it works brilliantly!

Is it possible to:
1) restrict the type of files (e.g. not allow .exe, .php etc) or display a list of allowed types?
2) Have a warning BEFORE the upload if the Mb limit is exceeded (I know this limit can be altered in php.ini, but I want to keep things to 2Mb)

Also, where do these files go? Are they deleted after the emails are sent?

Many thanks
Chris

Attachments are not saved, so they are deleted after the email sends.

You can use server validation to restrict file types and file size. I don't think you can check the size before uploading, so you would have to do it after submission.

Thanks Ray.

I can see how to do the file types, but the file size isn't in the list of validation types. Consequently, when the form is submitted, if the file is too large a message appears saying the emails are being sent (progress bar), then an error page 'connection reset'.

The emails are received, without any attachment.

I've tried to specify 'validated form' as the trigger for sending the emails, but this doens't work.

Cheers

You can use "Number" validation using the File size attribute of the file in the bindings.

Thanks Ray - have it sorted now (on that page we're having the other problem with!)

Cheers
