using options to pick quantity

Website with 20 products (variety of drink mixers) and different package sizes determine price from select list.
Want to give choice of a variety package where the customer can pick an assortment of flavors to add up to a certain quantity. i.e. variety package size is 6 and i want the customer to make up the 6 from a choice of 20 flavors. What is the best way to set this up?
website is drinkitz.com

Will you only have one variety pack size?

Checkboxes makes the most sense to me. Probably add an Options field to the cart and then loop on all of the products and use a repeated checkbox to show all of the options.

You may have to hand code the validation to limit it to six selections, but the rest should be pretty straightforward.

Ray,

As of now, there will be three variety packs; 6, 12 and 24. I would set them up each as a separate product with options. Set up an options field column called variety or something. The only problem i see with checkboxes is the quantity for each choice could be more than one. Could it be done with a repeating text field?

I think repeated select lists is probably the best choice.

Would this be a candidate for premium support?

Absolutely. We can do just about anything in a premium support ticket. This should be easy to accomplish in a single session.

OK, how do i set up the premium support session and should I prepare anything such as the products set up in database?
