When installing Power Gallery it disabled phpMyAdmin

Using wamp server /localhost. Used phpMyAdmin to export a copy of my DB before installing PG. Install for PG goes OK. But now I get the attached error when trying to access phpMyAdmin. I know my creds are still working for the DB since I can login at the MySQL console and the my site is connecting to the DB to render the pages.Do you have any idea how to fix this?
Here's the error:
MySQL said: Documentation
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

This is not due to the powergallery installation. It looks like your configuration is corrupted and doesn't have a valid username and password. It is possible that you removed the default user for the database and will have to re-configure it. This would not have happened in the powergallery installation.

Was weird. Somehow my password disappeared from the config.inc file in phpMyAdmin simultaneous with installing Power Gallery. Put it back in and all is fine. Just a weird coincidence I guess.
