changing index file

I don't know that this a web assist problem but maybe someone knows the answer. I created a site using design extender using one of your templates. When I make changes to the index.html file it saves it as a .dwt file in the templates folder. I can't seem to get it to detach from the template. it just keeps on saving it as a template and asking if I want to update the links.

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks,
Wyn

If you have template tags on the page, then Dreamweaver will automatically try to save it as a template. You can probably remove the template tags and then it will start saving properly.
