Cannot specify "ID" in static add to cart

I have created a static add to cart button, and am trying to identify each of my 6 products with a unique ID that will allow me to create reports. I create the ID, click ok in the A2C wizard, and then save the page, but every time I reopen the A2C button, the ID column reads "$_POST["LTAC14_1_ID_Add"]

I'm sure i'm missing something simple, thanks for your help in advance.

Do you have a copy of the page I can look at? What version of eCart? What version of Dreamweaver?

I have attached the page for your to look at.

Using Dreamweaver CC (not 2014, not 2015)
eCart6

I did find that if I started a new page, and added a static add to cart that it would work fine, but curious to know what I did wrong on this so I can avoid that in the future.

The add to cart server behavior depends on a hidden form element to save the item ID and it appears you have deleted that.

If you added it back to the add to cart form on the page, then it would start working again:

<input type="hidden" name="LTAC14_1_ID_Add" value="0" >
