Dreamweaver CC 2015 compatibility

Adobe has just released Dreamweaver CC 2015 - are there likely to be any issues with compatibility with Data Bridge/Design Extender? I don't want to upgrade straight away as I remember there were problems with the last CC upgrade.

Webassist Extensions useless in Dreamweaver CC 2015

Well.. I just upgraded without thinking. :-((
Now all the webassist extensions do NOT work anymore!

Please webassist, is there no communication between the developers from Adobe and Webassist? I know there is! I know Adobe shares development plans for extension developers. So why not create updates in advance to make your extensions always compatible with the latest updates from Adobe.
Do all CC license holders have to hold there breath each time Adobe comes with an update?

It makes me want to run away from using Webassist products in the future. Which is to bad. I like several good functions you have created.
Please fix this ASAP!
Now I have to see if I can restore the old version of dreamweaver.
Total waste of precious time!

Not happy.

Exactly the position I found myself in last time around - I had to reinstall an older version of Dreamweaver because I use Webassist plugins on a daily basis and like you, I never gave it a thought when I saw the new upgrade was available - I just dived straight in and then lived to regret it! It was several weeks before the upgrades were released. The new Dreamweaver release looks pretty good as well, so please let us know when it's safe to click that Upgrade button!

+1... I've updated without thinking me too.

Now I'm obligatorily to work with dreamweaver cs6 for the websites with the webassist's extensions.

For dreamweaver cc 2014 it took more than 6 months from webassist to release an update, I hope more speed this time (please, WebAssist subscribe Adobe beta program!!!)

Webassist aren't the only developers affected - now my Extensis Suitcase Fusion plugins don't work either! :-(

I didn't even know that a new release of CC was in the pipeline - have they just sprung it on everyone without any warning?!

Most extensions don't work in 2015. In fact, it looks like Adobe is doing away with the Extension Manager. See here: https://www.adobeexchange.com/resources/27.

They are moving to "Add Ons" which are installed through the Creative Cloud app. I have no idea what this means or how it affects Webassist products but I would not install 2015 right now.

It looks like Adobe hasn't updated the Extension Manager to work with CC 2015. They are aware of the issue and say they are working on it.

Currently installing CC 2015 will break the Extension Manager and won't allow you to install any extensions in previous versions as well. I found several articles on the web confirming this and that Adobe is aware of it.

Here is an adobe forum thread on it: https://forums.adobe.com/message/7646202#7646202 (the second to last post by Monika at Adobe claims to have steps to resolve this issue, but they didn't work for me)

Here is the Extension manager update information (notice the red warning on the top of the page they added today) : https://www.adobeexchange.com/resources/27

My guess is that there will be an update to the Extension Manager over the next couple of days or a dot release of Dreamweaver CC 2015, but until then you won't be able to install extensions if you download the CC 2015 update.

There is nothing we should (or could) need to do to update our extensions. It appears this will be an issue for any and all extensions until Adobe fixes it and then the extensions will just start working again. The fact that they have EOL'd the Extension Manager is not the problem, because the command line installation process does not work either, which is still supported.

I'm afraid the ball is in Adobe's court on this one.

I saw on the form that the extension manger was working but I removed DW cc2015 and the extension manager (including preferences) and reinstalled, now extension manger does not show any applications at all! I realize this is an adobe problem and have queried the forum but I would warn users that all is still not well.

Another user posted this, which sounds like it could resolve your issue:

if extension manager did not show dw cc 2015, just delete ExMan.db. location is:
mac:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/
win:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extenson Manager CC\Configuration\DB\
