Are predefined views not supported?

Views should be supported and should work just like tables. Are you sure the view returns the same column names? The issue should not be the fact that you are using a view itself... there must be something else causing the issue.

Thanks for your fast reply Ray. At the end I had a double WHERE in the statement (one from the view and one from the URL-filtering built with your tool) but the extension didn't show up the error while creating the dataset. On the page there were simply no data filtered and no errors shown.

I'm glad you got it figured out. There is a property where you can turn on debugging in the query class include file. You may get better error messaging when that is turned on. We have also updated the query file to improve debugging in the past few months, so you may want to try a fresh install and update if you haven't recently.

Thanks Ray, I'll give it a try.

I've tried this again and I think there is a major bug in your software. When using a view (with included WHERE statements) and then filter this view with an URL-Parameter no records will be found. Please see the code samples in the private section.

Please post your phone number in a reply to this thread and I'll call to debug this with you directly and try to figure out what is going wrong.

Could you reproduce the problem? Even the easierst views can be filtered when using the Select-Statement that your extension ist creating. This should be easy to reproduce for you: Create a view in a database, the create a MSQLi recordset and filter the id with a session or a url parameter in your advanced panel. You won't get any data.

I was unable to reproduce the problem in my tests. If you post a US phone number or Skype contact information I'd do a screen sharing session to see what is going on.

I don't have an US phone number and no Skype (neither cam and mic) on my developer Mac. I'll try to install everything on my laptop when I find the time. Thanks so far.
