problems updating a page with password protection and file download

You kindly helped me create a web page that has a password field that then shows a region with a
button to download a pdf file. I was able to get it to work with a sample password and a
sample pdf to download.

Now I need to change the password and the pdf file. I changed the password and the pdf
filename and uploaded everything to the server. But the page is not working. I enter the new
password and it doesn't show the pdf download region.

I made changes to SecurityAssist password rule dialog box. Also went to File Manipulation to
change the pdf filename in the download dialog box. I took a look at Cookie, set session value,
but wasn't sure if I needed to make a change there.

Thank you for your advice.

I can't tell what the issue is from your description alone. You can try giving me a copy of the page and the security assist groups rules file and maybe I can spot the problem from there, but I may need to debug it on the server.

If you give me FTP access in the private area when replying to the thread and include the URL and username/password you are trying to use, that would probably be the easiest way to debug.

Thank you, but unfortunately ftp access is restricted to only my computer, it is a small credit union website.

For some reason my server behaviors that were there this morning have disappeared. I think I had better book a session for tomorrow morning. Please see the private msg area.

Thanks for your help!

Just one last question, if I were to need to create a similar page for a different client, I wondered about setting up the Cookies -> Set Session Value dialog box. I know that for the trigger field, I click the lightning bolt and select the password form element.

But I have a question about the value field of the Cookies > Set Session Value. In my notes it says to do the same for the value field. I didn't take very good notes last time. Do I manually type something in the value field, or do I click the lightning bolt for the value? The lightning bolt gives me three choices: session, accessPdf, and Server Variables. Which of the three do I select and then which submenu choice do I select?

Click the lightning bolt for the two fields that allow it (the first and third) and select the form and the form element where the password is entered.

In the middle field you free-type the name of the session variable you are using to store the password.
