Store dynamic list of checkboxes into a record

Hi there

I have a form which contains a dynamic list of checkboxes. What's the best way of storing these values in a record and also confirm them in an email?

I've made the ID and NAME of the checkboxes the ID of the records but need a steer on how to store/email the data of those which are checked.

Many thanks

Jon

The answer to this sort of depends on what the checkboxes are for.

if each of the checkboxes coresponds to a column in a table, you can use the Data Assist Insert record behavior and bind each column to the corresponding checkbox. to access the insert record behavior open the server behaviors panel, and select WebAssist -> Data Assist -> Insert record -> Insert Single record.

Or the checkboxes may be used to create a Relational table, such as inserting a Product and signing it to multiple genres. In that case you would use the Manage Relational Table behavior. there is a tutorial for this here:

as for sending the email, use the Universal Email behavior; WebAssist -> Create Email Message. Select the option to manage the email body from a file, and code will be added to the email template to send the form contents.
