ERROR: "Please insert a Recordset to use Database Search" ...

I get the above error when attempting to use Database Search server behavior, or when attempting to use the Database Search Wizard. I inserted the database with the MySQLi Recordset server behavior. The database is inserted and visible in the 'bindings' list.

Here is the code for the recordset insertion ("recordset" substituted for actual database and recordset names)

<?php
$rs_Recordset = new WA_MySQLi_RS("rs_Recordset",$recordset,1);
$rs_Recordset->setQuery("SELECT * FROM recordset");
$rs_Recordset->execute();
?>

This is frustrating. Please advise.

Data Assist Search cannot be used with a MySQLi recordset.

you need to create a standard MySQL recordset.

Using the regular recordset behaviors, I'm getting php errors warning that the mysql connection "mysql_pconnect()" will be deprecated. I'm using php 5.6.2 ... is there an update for MySQLii?

edit the PHP.ini file to turn off deprecated warnings. you should contact the host for assistance with that.

we are working on an upgrade to Data Bridge to add My SQLi support, we hope to have it available by the end of the quarter.

Thanks. The warnings are on on my testing server for development purposes so I can see them. They will not be showing on the production server, but that is not the point ... obviously, there should be no needed warnings. "By the end of the quarter" means by the end of March?

you can still edit the hp.ini file to disable deprecated warnings

.We are hoping for the end of March, yes, but cannot make any concrete promises.
