Login and Forgot password

Well, I'm slowly making progress in my Register / Log In pages, however, I am a bit confused as to the forgot password situation??? Is there something I've missed, or how does one integrate sending someone to the Forgot Password page?... I would have thought that there would have been both a "Log In" button and a "Password Help" button on the Log In page. Any suggestions?

By default, a link to the forgot password page is added to the login page.

When running the security assist wizard, on the manage pages tab, if you select to create a forgot password page, a link to that page is added to the login page.

if you don't have the wizard create the forgot password page, no link will be created.

Okay... I went back and deleted all of the pages including the "webassist" folder...

Then I used the wizard to create the pages... You'll find attached a screengrab showing the pages that were created as well as a preview of the login page in Mozilla Firefox... Still no link to the forgot page.

What version of Data Bridge are you using?

I just ran a test with the latest version, 1.2.1, and there is a link to the forgot password page.

of course, you can easily use Dreamweaver to add the link to the forgot password page.

FYI... When I create my pages, I select "Simple Registration SP"... Other than that things are pretty much straight forward.

I am not able top reproduce, on my test using the Simple Registration SP preset the forgot password link is added to the login page.

do you have other extensions installed? if so what versions?

If it is just a matter of the forgot password link, it is start forward to add that in using DW.

place your cursor where the link should go, type the link text:
Forgot Password

Select the link text, and use the property inspector to add the link.

I think we have located the problem.

attached is a copy of the configuration/shared/webassist/security_assist/Shared.js file.

to locate the users configuration folder, see the following page:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues

once you locate the users configuration folder, browse to the following directory:
Configuration/shared/webassist/security_assist/

and paste the attached file there.
