installation of power cms

Hello, recently my host started requiring a secure ftp connection. I run an old version of Dreamweaver (cs4) and it does not allow for the secure method that the require. Is there a way to install the power cms files without going through dreamweaver?

You can use File Zilla or another 3rd party stand alone FtP program to connect to the server and upload the site files.

I Personally prefer using File Zilla over Dreamweaver for site files transfer.

Yes, but how do I get the powercms files? Do I install to my local machine? How do I do that? IT is a remote / 3rd party host, and I've always installed powercms by making a connection to the remote server via the ftp settings in Dreamweaver. thanks, I appreciate the help.

I have everything connecting in Dreamweaver, and manually copied all the files to the server.

For some reason the server was not allowing the database tables to be created. I manually created the tables on the server using the install_cms/scripts/db.sql file to finish the installation.
