pdf event tracker for universal google analytics not working :(

Hi all,
I've been trying to setup a pdf event tracker for universal google analytics and nothing seems to work, just want to track how many click the pdf download link gets. I've tried multiple codes I've seen on the net, aswell as a pdf event code generator for g.a... nothing seems to work.
This is the code i'm running at the moment...

<a href="services/linecard.pdf" onClick="ga('send', 'event', 'download', 'click', 'Line Card Download);">DOWNLOAD Line Card</a>

note: the page itself is getting proper analytics, just not the event tracker.

Any help would be appreciated
