updating extension javascript error then open dreamweaver

It's been awhile since I used WebAssist extension and Dreamweaver.

I saw that there are new versions of the Data Bridge, DesignExtender and Free Tools, and have now installed them.

But something has gone completely wrong in Dreamweaver.

Menus show strange characters (I use a Swedish version). And it comes up a long list of javascript error - immediately when I start Dreamweaver (see attached picture).

I've tried to delete all WebAssist extension that I have in Extension Manager including eChart5. I have also thrown 'MacFileCache' file.

But it's still the same problem when I restart Dreamweaver after being removed WebAssist extensions.

reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

I've tried your advice and I have read 'Common-installation-issues'. It got a little better, but still kooky Dreamweaver.

Some menu titles are still with strange characters (see screenshot).

When I open an existing document in Dreamweaver, the WebAssist: Uninstaller starts up. But immediately it pops up an error message "... WA_inInstall2.htm": files has no proporties "(see screen shot). And I have to force quit Dreamweaver.

What should I do? Dreamweaver does not work anymore.

It's not fun now after a break in Dreamweaver - come back and discover that it just causes trouble, if you know what I mean.

recreate the users configuration folder as outlined in step 12 of the Adobe troubleshooting guide:
http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html#main_user_config

after renaming the configuration folder, start DW to recreate it, then close DW.

Open the extension manager, and uninstall the extensions, then install them again.

After installing them in the extension manager, open DW, this should start the WebAssist installer, if it does not open automatically, open a php page to force it to start.

After the WebAssist installer completes, restart DW.

Thanks Jason! It helped a lot. Dreamweaver works now. But it seems to have been something wrong with certain XTensions.

I have now reinstalled all the extensions (Data Bridge 1.2.1, Free Tools 1.1.2, Design Extender 1.2.0 and 5.0.7 ECART).

Now, when I select 'WebAssist -> Database -> Computer Assist Pages - I get an error message.

This reads: "When OnLoad run in WADA_Main.htm occurred following JavaScript error: file 'WADA_Main': initializeUI not defined." (see attached screenshot).

Another error, which also comes up is: "When the find was run in connection WADYN_CONN.htm occurred a JavaScript error" please note that this is translated.

Could the problem be that I have reinstalled the extension in the wrong order?

Questions about MySQLi

I would like to ask a question about mysqli - but can not find this option in the menu on page http://www.webassist.com/support/support.php.

I'll get that sorted, in the mean time you can ask here.

Questions about MySQLi

Okay, Jason! First let me say that I am glad that you have done a visual QueryBuilder! I wished Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox resurrected ever since it disappeared. A Query Builder were included in this major extension / pack - which contained many other great features, too - but you probably already know this. You already recreated lot of these features.

I have not yet upgraded to your new MySQLi extension. I would first like to know more about what it contains in detail. I expect that it contains at least the features that were in ADDTs Query Builder. But it is one feature that is particularly interesting - DISTINCT. Is it possible to select Distinct in your Query Builder?

As for the other things I mentioned that I would expect, I would like to refer to ADDTs manual. If you do not have this, I can attach it. It's a PDF of 345 pages and weighs 4.3 MB.

for an overview of the MySQLi server behaviors, see the MySql Server Behaviors series of tutorial:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/MySQLi-Server-Behaviors-series

there is a video demonstrating the use of the Data Modeler and Query Builder

In the advanced Query Builder, there is an option to use distinct. The referenced video and tutorial should answer other questions.

I have not use the ADDT tools, nor do i have access to the manuals.
