Powercms websites

I have recieved this error on about 5 websites i have running on power cms. Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/jus55/public_html/Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php on line 9 these sites are all hosted on hostgater.

The error means that the host name used for the MySQL server is not correct.

It usually happens when using an IP address as the host name.

your host should have a control panel that allows you to connect to the database using phpMyAdmin. in phpMyAdmin, it will show the host name in the upper left corner, use that host name in your connection file.

If you have additional questions on what details to use in your database connection, please contact your host.

Sql connect

Yes the sites have been working fine, now all sites are down thart i have running with power cms and power store. In php admin it list my host as localhost. Again all sites were working fine now all my sites are down. I have my host set as localhost. I have not nade any changes to any connection files.. Is this possibly a problem that occured is mysql was upgraded on the server?
