i can't get the user authentication in mysqli to work

I'm having no luck with the mysqli user authentication.

First, I don't understand the "login name" field on the loginuser pop-up. What is this and how is it related to the username field in my database of users?

In the code below, if you leave both the username and password blank it takes you to the success page on submission!

<?php require_once('../Connections/AdminPolaris_i.php'); ?>
<?php require_once('../webassist/mysqli/rsobj.php'); ?>
<?php require_once('../webassist/mysqli/authentication.php'); ?>
if (isset($_POST["submit"]) || isset($_POST["submit_x"])) {
$Authenticate = new WA_MySQLi_Auth($AdminAndover_i);
$Authenticate->Action = "authenticate";
$Authenticate->Name = "User";
$Authenticate->Table = "users";
$Authenticate->AutoReturn = false;
$SuccessRedirect = "success.php";
$FailedRedirect = "fail.php";
if (function_exists("rel2abs")) $SuccessRedirect = $SuccessRedirect?rel2abs($SuccessRedirect,dirname(__FILE__)):"";
if (function_exists("rel2abs")) $FailedRedirect = $FailedRedirect?rel2abs($FailedRedirect,dirname(__FILE__)):"";
$Authenticate->SuccessRedirect = $SuccessRedirect;
$Authenticate->FailRedirect = $FailedRedirect;

$Recordset1 = new WA_MySQLi_RS("Recordset1",$AdminPolaris_i,1);
$Recordset1->setQuery("SELECT * FROM users");
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-12">

<p>Donec id elit non mi porta gravida at eget metus. Fusce dapibus, tellus ac cursus commodo, tortor mauris condimentum nibh, ut fermentum massa justo sit amet risus. Etiam porta sem malesuada magna mollis euismod. Donec sed odio dui. </p>

<form id="form1" name="form1" method="POST">
<label for="User">User Name:</label>
<input type="text" name="User" id="User" />
<label for="password">Password:</label>
<input type="text" name="password" id="password" />
<input type="submit" name="submit" id="submit" value="Submit" />

you haven't added any bindings on the bindings tab.

The login name is a friendly name you give to the login object, when applying access restriction, you select the login the restriction applies to.

On the bindings tab, clci the plus button and select the user name column of your table, then click the lightning bolt icon and select the user name form element, repeat that for the password column and the pass form element.
