Universal Email 4 .mxp extension upgrade for Dreamweaver CC

Universal Email 4 .mxp extension upgrade for Dreamweaver CC

Need to use Universal Email 4 .mxp file with DW CC. Can this be converted to a .zxp file via Extension Manager CS6 or do I need to upgrade UE for CC? I don't see UE in my account upgrades as a stand alone product, only bundled with Data Bridge. I can't afford to purchase DB; what are other options?

Thanks

Universal Email 4 will not work with Dreamweaver CC, nor is there a stand alone version that will. the Data Bridge upgrade is the only option for getting Universal Email functionality in Dreamweaver CC.

Databridge is overkill for what I need.

What are the email options from a shopping cart using eCart?

If you have data Bridge, eCart can use Universal Email for sending a recipe, otherwise, you will need to use the recipes generated by the gateway.

I have Data Assist. Guessing there's no single upgrade for that one either. Now I have two products that cost close to $240 that are completely useless; and it will cost $200 for upgrades on one product with many features I'll never use.

Not planning on using a gateway. Need to have both buyer and seller receive order confirmation. The seller would then process the order manually. It seems illogical for a shopping cart software to not be able to forward a simple order confirmation.

Is there no workaround?

Also, I have a question regarding the Shipping Rate Request. It's asking for the package weight, type, size, length, width and height. Every package will be different depending on what is ordered. If I have each product's size and weight specifications in the shopping cart, will eCart figure the packaging out dynamically based on the specified carrier? Not sure how it can do this, particularly for box size, as it doesn't know how the items will be arranged - for example, if they can be folded or compacted.

Are you using eCart 6?

In eCart 6, there is a simplified version of UE that is set up when running the checkout wizard to send the email receipt.

NOTE: Data Bridge contains an Upgraded version of Data Assist, it is essentially Data Assist 3.

I added a question to the above post regarding Shipping Rate Request after you had already replied.

You will need to add columns for the dimensions to the cart object and set the item dimensions in the add to cart button behaviors.

the shipping as configured from the wizard won't work for this, but after the wizard creates the pages, you can edit the shipping look up behavior and set it to shop each item individually, then bind the wight and dimensions to weight and dimension columns from the cart.

Not really sure how the WebAssist Payment Gateway works either. Once the customer hits Submit, does the money automatically go from the buyers account based on the entered credit card info and into the sellers bank account? How much does WebAssist charge for the transaction fee? Do all gateways pretty much work the same way?

There is no WebAssist gate way in eCart 6, the available gateways are:

Remote payment gateways:
PayPal Payments Standard US
Website Payments Standard UK
PayFlow Link
Authorize.Net
eWay
LinkPoint
Sage Pay
2CheckOut
WorldPay

Local payment gateways:
PayPal Payments Pro
PayFlow Pro
Authorize.Net AIM
LinkPoint by First Data

each gateway has their own transaction fee, but they all basic work the same. When the transaction is processed, the funds are transferred from the buyers bank to the sellers account for the gateway. Some gateways allow the seller to tie their account directly to a bank account so that the funds go directly to the bank.
