Trouble Connecting to Database, Locally

Hi, I recently purchased the Super Suite and I'm very pleased with what this package offers.

Unfortunately, I'm having trouble creating a database connection using 'localhost' (MAMP).

I receive the 404 error when trying to connect .

1) There is no testing server running on the server machine.

2) The testing server specified for this site does not map to http://127.0.0.1/TestingSite/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php .

I have tried changing the URL prefix.

I checked phpMyAdmin config file to make sure username and password are correct.

I tried connecting remotely but received an "unidentified error".

I would greatly appreciate any support.

Thanks.

The error suggests that MAMP is not started.

what happens if you enter the address:

http://localhost/TestingSite

into a web browser?

Right on the money! Thank you.

In my Apache document root (MAMP window) I added the site folder as well. Once I removed and ended the root mapping with 'htdocs' I could connect.

However, I still receive some errors when trying to connect.

What should I do to correct these errors?

1) DataAssist:

While executing onResize in WA_SiteTools_ProgressV2.htm, the following Javascript error(s) occurred:

In file “WA_SiteTools_ProgressV2”:
refreshUI is not defined

2) PowerCMS:

Unable to edit your database with the provided user credentials. Please make sure the connection user has write access to this database. (You may need to upload the connection to the server if you have made changes recently).

I appreciate the support. Thanks.

reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues

and reset the connection scripts. Go to Site -> Advanced -> Remove Connection Scripts

Ok, I tried these steps but I'm still receiving the same errors.

What else should I try?

Try restating the computer, then deleting the Cache file again.

That did it. Thank you.
