Edit Registration to Send Emails After Running Security Assist.

I know when you initially run the security assist there is an option to send out emails which I initially had not done. I didn't think we were going to do emails.

Is there now a way to edit the registration.php page to send emails when a user registers with the site? A box or something that can be brought up to add this functionality after the security assist pages ave already been created. Now we're wanting to send an email with the registered user with a welcome message, along with a bcc to a sales person internally that also contains the user information.

Thanks

Edit the insert behavior on the registration page to clear the redirect after inserting, then add universal email to send the email message, in the UE behavior, you can set the redirect.

to add universal Email to the page, go to WebAssist -> Create Email Message

Jason,

I did the Create Email Message, but I'm not sure where to clear the redirect after inserting. The location of the code.

Thank you

open the server behaviors panel, and double click on the insert record server behavior to edit it's settings and clear the redirect.

That just seems to keep me on the regeneration page, but with a cleared out form and still no email.

make sure that you set the redirect in universal email.

Also double check the settings you are using for the from address, most hosts require that the from address be a valid email address for your domain.

your host may require that you enter an SMPT server address and port, double check with them for the server settings you should use when sending an email through PHP.

Okay, I fixed the redirect, but it's still not sending the emails out. I get what you're talking about with the SMPT setting, but I can click on forgot password and it sends out the email like it should to the email address that is put in. I didn't need to add any additional setting for that to work. Though maybe they're separate.

below is the setting I have. These are all in the registration.php page It's saving the email feature to the database because I enabled that feature.

Also, how would I omit things like the password from being emailed out? I would also like to add a field called Company if that's simple to do as well.

Thanks

to troubleshoot, on the page that the email redirects to add the following in the body:

<?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?>

this will write the session contents to the page including the status of passing the email to the SMTP Server.

if this says success, you will need to contact the host for details on why the SMTP Server is not relaying the email to the recipient.

I guess it's working on the sites side, I sent an email to Nexcess(hosting) to figure out the setting.
Below is the last thing it says and in the database the EmailStatus says Success as well.

How can I change the wording on what's being sent out?

Registration group 11 Country: United States

So in the emails it just says Country: and also so it does not send out the password in the email as well.

Jason,

Spoke with the hosting company and was informed that the information that I put in was correct. I sent them the same screen shot that I posted here. But it's still not sending out any emails. The only emails that it is sending is if you click on the forgot your password.

Thank You
