Changeing Level 1 Width

I'm trying to change the width of the level 1 & Level 2 menu. I can change the width in the normal state but the hover state remains the original width and any lower levels are half hidden by the higher level menu items (see attached jpg file in the "Previes Pane") I can't see where you can change the width of the "hover" state anywhere.

The width of the hover state is derived from the width of the normal state.

I am not able to reproduce what you are seeing by only changing the width.

I am attaching a screen shot of what I see in the Preview pane after changing only the width to match your screen shot.

I have changed the width of the level 1 element from 100 px to 110px and exported the results that I get.

Try changing the level 1 padding to "5px 0 5px 0"

So set the Top and Bottom to 5px. Set the Left and Right to 0 and set the measure ment to the blank option.

Thanks for the reply Jason. That fixes the hover state width issue, but then there is no left hand padding of the text so this solution isn't acceptable.

I think the heart of the problem is in your layout. There is something in your layout that is causing the overlap that I cannot see.

if I create a new layout Using what I think you selected:
Bubble, Nautica

and change only the width of the level one menu's to 100px, I am not able to reproduce the problem that you are experiencing.

If you can walk me through all of the exact changes you made to the BEA Layout, then maybe I could find the problem, but not being able to create a layout that exhibits the same issue, I am at a loss.

can you try creating a new layout where the only change that is made is changing the width of the level one menus?
