Adding Category Name to Page Title and Custom Meta Description

Adding Category Name to Page Title and Custom Meta Description

Trying to add Category Name to the Page Title on the Products Results page so that the name of the category shows up in the title. I was able to do something similar with the Products Details page by making it show the Product Name in the Page Title. Now, the Page Title on the Products Results page is only showing the Category named "Dinnerware" which is CatID 1, no matter which CatID it is going to. The pages are throughout my products, one example is:https://www.allurepartyrentals.com/products_results.php?CID=5, which pulls products under Category 5 with the Category Name "Chairs", however you will see the Page Title says "Dinnerware". How can I fix this?

I would also like to have custom Meta Descriptions for each products results page. How can I do that?

Make sure that the recordset you are using to return the category is set to filter the category ID column on the CID URL variable that is being passed.

You wont be able to do a custom meta tag for the results page, but you can do this on the details page.

add a field to the products table for the meta tag, make sure the recordset on the details page returns the meta column and use that column binding from the recordset in the value of the meta tag.

Our Products Results pages are filtered by Category ID and each ID has a name. So there is no way to input the Category Name in the Page Title? If so, what would the code be? The code we are currently using is working, but it's only showing Category 1, Dinnerware.

Just so I understand, there is no way to do a custom Page Title and Meta Description for the Results page?

Our Products Results pages are filtered by Category ID and each ID has a name.

Is it using a URL Variable to do the filtering?

If so create a recordset that filters the category table on the URL variable that is passed in to look up the category name and meta column from the database and use that recordset to populate the title tag.
