jquery validation

Hello there

I have just used the JQuery form validation for the first time using the latest version of Data Assist.
I have a password and password confirmation field generated through the wizard.
I have 2 problems;

1. The error message loads as soon as the page is loaded
2. The form progress spinner loads when the form is submitted before it fails.

I do have a bit of other JQuery going on within the page - using mainly the Infield Labels plugin by Doug Neiner.

Do you have any idea what may be causing this behaviour please?

Many thanks

The password and confirm password fields would use server validation not jquery validation

there is not a confirm password jquery validation option.

for server validation, the form needs to post to the server before it can validate.

Also, server validation uses a session, the session is cleared when the form successfully posts or the browser is completely shut down.

you are most likely seeing server validation errors on page load. close the browser completely and reopen it and the errors should not show.

Thanks for that Jason

After playing with this a bit it seems that it's only Google Chrome that displays the validation messages on page load - IE11 seems OK (for once!) and Firefox also is OK.
Chrome has had no settings changed from installation - is this an issue you have come across before and if so is there an answer?
Also am I right in thinking that Spry used to have a confirm password validation?
If so is there any reason that h5validate hasn't or are there plans to introduce one?

Thanks again

Having looked a bit further into this I see that even though Databridge adds the h5validate script I still just have Spry Validation in the Webassist menu - if this isn't a ridiculous question please how please do I simply add a JQuery validation to look at the script that is added?
I have the latest Databridge installed with Dreamweaver CS6

Thank you
