plain text in the HTML Editor

plain text in the HTML Editor

The HTML Editor is a delight - thanks. On the question of straight plain text, when needed, for entries into the db (so a page can do the layout and styling later, instead):

I have found

http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?t=23024

May I check? Is this the present word on preventing <p>'s in an entry? Or, has this changed with later versions of CKEditor?

If still the word, do I understand correctly? That at least one <br> will be inserted? And an additional <br> for each paragraph?

Then, there remains no way to get plain text, itself, since this is an HTML editor?

Thanks, as always, David

yes, that post is still the way to prevent P tags from being entered and using BR tags instead.

Yes, at least one BR tag will be added.

If you need to enter plain text into the DB, you should not be using and HTML EDitor field for that column.
