Wildcards for Search, into Results, pages, created with DataAssist?

On Search pages built with DataAssist:

1 - Is there the ability to search with wildcards? For instance, when searching on a record ID field, can the search find all records? As one example.

2 - Is it possible to search for a range of values? Such as, using the prior example, a range of record IDs? Again, as one example.

3 - If so, is there a page outlining such expanded wildcard search capability?

by default, if you leave the search page emtpy it will find all records.

to create more flexibale searches like this, you should use the Data Assist search wizard, see the following tutorial:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Create-a-search-page-that-displays-filtered-results
