Image upload browse server error

Hi,
I've just installed PowerCMS on a new site and get this error message when I click on "Browse Server" to try and upload images:

"Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/includes/pear/MDB2.php on line 2556 Strict Standards: Declaration of MDB2_Driver_Common::raiseError() should be compatible with that of PEAR::raiseError() in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/includes/pear/MDB2.php on line 986 Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/includes/pear/MDB2/Driver/mysql.php on line 924 Strict Standards: Declaration of MDB2_Driver_mysql::setTransactionIsolation() should be compatible with that of MDB2_Driver_Common::setTransactionIsolation() in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/includes/pear/MDB2/Driver/mysql.php on line 1122 Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/includes/pear/MDB2/Driver/mysql.php on line 1190 Strict Standards: Redefining already defined constructor for class kfmSession in /var/www/vhosts/nzanlp.org.nz/httpdocs/webassist/kfm/classes/kfmSession.php on line 58

Please Wait - loading... "

Then it just hangs... please advise.

Many thanks
Sylvia

in the php.ini file, you should set the error reporting level to not show the strict or deprecated messages, contact your host for help in editing the php.ini file.

Thanks Jason, unfortunately the php.ini cannot be altered as the website is hosted on a shared server. The hosting people advised me to precede the commands with "@" to stop the errors from displaying, but I have no idea which commands to apply this to - your advice would be appreciated.

Also, surely just preventing display of the error notices isn't going to fix the fact that the "browse server" function is not working? That's the real issue that needs to be resolved asap.

I have the latest version of design extender and so the fix of deleting "can-minify" from the script link doesn't apply.

Further information:
The URL displayed after the page finishes loading the above error message is: mysite.co.nz/webassist/kfm/index.php?uicolor=%23eee&theme=webassist_v2&CKEditor=ContentValue&CKEditorFuncNum=1&langCode=en-gb

The page background goes grey.

Thanks,
Sylvia

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

Thanks Jason, I have since found the problem - there was user authentication applied to the kfm configuration file, as well as the named upload destination folder being non-existent. Fixing those issues also resolved the strict and deprecated error notices.

Ok, glad to hear it is working.
