Copied a page to create a template - lost all content

Is there any way to recover content? It appears the database has overwritten my file with placeholder text. Thank you!

In the CMS Admin, go to the content section for that page, select each of the content areas and go to the developer notes section to get the developer notes code for that content area, then edit the code in the page and change the developer notes code to get write the content area.
