Dreamweaver CC speed

Hi all, I have just gone back to Dreamweaver CS6 as I found CC on my windows 8 setup far too slow in every sense. Working with the bindings panel is so slow it is totally un-workable.

I have two questions, one for general comment, are other people finding CC too slow.

Second, I know webassist are looking at msgli functions for Dreamweaver. Will this work separately to the native Dreamweaver database and bindings panels or will it bolt onto them? Unless Adobe do something with CC to improve speed I will be stuck on CS6 or move away totally.

Any comments welcome

Jon

I have not experienced slow performance in DW CC, but I am not using Windows 8.

on my windows 7 system, and on my Mac system, I find DW CC has the same speed as CS6.

Not sure what may be causing the performance issues you are experiencing, but I Would contact Adobe Support for assistance.

The MySQLi extension we will be releasing will work separately from the native versions.

You will have the option to use the native version in order to manage old sites that still use MySQL. or use the new MySQLi version for new sites.

For anyone interested. On XP I had xampp installed on the C drive with my website fiels on my e drive. This worked fine but when I upgraded to windows 8 it wasn't so good. Seemed ok until I used the bindings panels. So slow it was not workable.

Having failed to fix or even find the problem I re-installed xampp onto my e drive directly. All is now working perfectly.

Dreamweaver CC SOOO SLOW

Hello everyone, I was having the same problem.

I found the Adobe Creative Cloud icon (RED ICON) and from one of the top menu drop downs, I was able to quit. After quitting, all my CC installed programs started working SO much faster.

Also a few other preferences which could speed up your Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) , go to the gear at the top right, see attached pic, and in each section, UNcheck everything, and turn syncing off.

hope this helps.

Thanks,
