KFM with IE.... Very Slow to Load and populate

When I open HTML Editor then choose to browse the server using IE (11 at this time, but 10 also seems to do this) I find it takes forever for the folder list to populate on the left side.

Using Firefox it is very fast, no issues at all.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is there a known issue, or adjustment I can make, or should I just be using Firefox instead.

There was a post yesterday about a huge security flaw in all versions of IE from IE 6 on up:

going by that I would say use Fire Fox instead.

In reality, the KFM File manager that is used by HTML editor has not bee updated for more recent versions of IE.

I can certainly tell my clients to use Firefox for all administration - but it has it's own little flaws with the editor :)

I read the thread you point to and although I don't disagree, it is obviously impossible to change the worlds internet habits - at least at my level. My clients would be firing me tomorrow (and there would be 100 developers in line to take my place) if I told them I wasn't supporting IE anymore.

It's a necessary evil that always needs to be dealt with.

I understand your point, but you asked the question:

Is there a known issue, or adjustment I can make, or should I just be using Firefox instead.

and the answer really is to use Fire Fox instead, that article is one reason for that and also the fact that the KFM fie manager (which is a 3rd party file manager) has not been updated for IE 11.

The known issue is that the developers of the KFM file manager have not updated it for IE 11 (or 10).

Fully Agree! The negative aspect of my response was not meant to be directed at you... it was more my response about the article you pointed me toward :)

I have no problem telling clients they should use Firefox during site administration...
