compatability with eCart database

compatability with eCart database

We currently have a shopping cart that used eCart to develope and we'd like to implement the PowerStore app so that the authorized users can update on the fly.
My question is the database that is being used by eCart will the database that's needed for powerstore need to be attached to a new database or can it use the existing connection?

PowerStore needs the specific structure of the tables that are provided. If any of the tables in you existing database have the same name as tables in the Power store database, it will end up over writing you existing data. It would be best to use a fresh database for power store.
