HTML editor is changing the code tags making them show on live page

Within the source code area of my HTML editor (was set up as iRite years ago), I am pasting an embed code for a youtube video, clicking the source button again to see the video embedded, saving the update to the page and all is good. If I then go back to edit the page to add further text or images below the embedded video, all of my code that I had pasted is now visible in the editor window, and if I click to view source, the greater than/less than characters of the code have changed to < and >

What have I done wrong ;) ?

most likely the initial value for the HTML editor instance has code in place to convert HTML characters to HTML Entities.

if you edit the HTML Editor instance on the update page, and reselect the corresponding column form the recordset as the initial value, it should remove any formatting to fix the problem.

Sorry Jason, I was mistaken about iRiteā€¦ it's an old version of PowerCMS, it's not iRite.

I have looked through the files, but I can't see where the html editor of PowerCMS might be. Any thoughts on why this is happening? It was OK, but I can't think of anything that I have done to make this suddenly break the formatting of HTML.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

See below

I have just set up a new section in the admin cms called AAAAA for you to test with rather than on the live page.

Thanks.

It seams to only happen with that one content area, not all of them.

In the content area I see an iframew tag that looks like it has an empty attribute as:

"=""

I would try recreating that content area and make sure the initial markup is correct, I think the CKEditor is changing the markup because it is not valid when it is originally created.
