DA Create Pages crashes in Dreamweaver CS6

DA Create Pages has crashed occasionally, but today, it's crashing each time I try to use it. I've tried using a local connection string, instead of connecting to the server, and that makes no difference. I've deleted my Win Cache file, makes no difference, I've tried going through it without choosing any presets, makes no difference. It crashes at various stages of the wizard, so there's nothing specific that seems to trigger it. What can I do? I'm using an HP Laptop - Pavilion dv7 running Windows 7.

When Data Assist crashes like this it is normally a result of a Dreamweaver Memory leak.

Restart the system, then Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Common-installation-issues

In the WebAssist -> Preferences, go to the preview section and disable the preview, you will still be see the preview if needed by clicking the preview placeholder.

before starting the Data Assist wizard, close the Files and Server Behaviors panels.

also, make sure that you have the latest Data Bridge version, 1.1.8, installed, it won't prevent the memory leak from causing a crash, but it does include a feature to remember your settings when it does crash so you can start back up without having to reconfigure everything.

I installed the latest version of Data Bridge, deleted my .dat file again, opened up DW CS6, and got the following message: Unable to find WA_SiteTools_ProgressV2.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown.

Now, none of my Web Assist extensions work. In fact, none of them are listed in my Server Behaviors panel, such as Insert, Update, etc.

Now what do I do?

reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and open a php file to start the WA installer, once the installer completes, don't forget to restart dreamweaver.

I reinstalled the Data Bridge extension, and then it worked and took me through the installer. Is there an order in which you should install data bridge and design extender? That may have been the problem, as I updated design extender as well.
