Needing Help With Install and Understanding e-Cart

Hello I am a new user here and really can use some help. Several years ago I purchased the Super Suite but never did anything with it. Fast forward to today and based on an email I received from WebAssist I decided to look again and was able to log into my account which I could not believe still existed.

I am not eligible for version 6 but qualify for low cost upgrade. Anyhow I have access to 4.5 download and everything else I purchased it seems. I am using Dreamweaver CS6 at the moment.

What I need to know is which are the products I need to use in order to create an eCommerce store? I know ecart is one but I need an admin system and the product catalog. We run on a Go Daddy server PHP based and the products should be dynamic so it can load without need of static pages.

I dont need to upgrade now as this is all new to me and just want to get started on how this works. Presently this is our website www.hygienics.com and basically it sucks to put it mildly. I have seen some live examples here and they are beautiful. I would like to achieve that myself.

Another question I have is this. I build it in Dreamweaver but once uploaded to the server can we configure things from there? I would like my boss to be able to add or remove products, shipping, photos, details etc.. without having to rely on me and Dreamweaver.

Thank You,

Victor

for a dynamic catalog with administration, you will need to use Data Assist and Security Assist.

Data Assist to create the catalog display pages and product admin pages, and security assist to restrict access to the admin pages.

see our eCommerce tutorials series for details:

It is geared towards using Data Bridge, but the underlying concepts are still valid with the stand versions of Data Assist and Security Assist.

That is what creating the admin section will allow you to do, it is the purpose behind creating a dynamic database driven catalog and admin backend.
