After validation fails, form does not display $_POST[''] values

I have tried and tried to get this to work, changed to $_GET and cannot seem to figure out why when the form's validation fails I cannot get the form to display the previously entered comments. I have put the value="<?php echo $_POST["fieldName"]; ?>" there, I have tried $_GET instead with no success. What am I missing here? You can see the form here:

Test if you like it's not live yet...

In the bindings panel, there is a collection named validated entries.

Use those bindings for the initial value of the form.
