Issue installing Power CMS on Go Daddy servers due to new Mod Security settings

Recently GoDaddy has implemented mod security on there PHP servers. This change is causing the installation of Power CMS to fail with an error saying the server unexpectadly droped the connection.

In Safari, the error may look like:

Safari can't open the page "http://www.yourdomain.com/install_cms/database.php" because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

In Fire Fox:

  The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Attached is a copy of the install_cms/database.php file to correct the problem

This is unrelated to the initial post in this thread, you really should start a new thread instead of adding on to this one.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

Same issue, same hosting company.....

I am having the same problem. I did get thru to adding the serial number so it reached the database.php file and that's where I received the same message "Safari can't open the page "http://www.yourdomain.com/install_cms/database.php" because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again. "

I checked my PowerCMS activations and it showed the domain i was attempting to install on but no other domains, but, it never got any further than the database.php file during the installation. In Chrome is said "No data received ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE"

require once paths how to fix?

Install successful -- THANK YOU..... but, now I have this problem on the page with the inserted content:

Warning: require_once(WA_CMS/WA_CMS.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/g/z/i/gzirfas/html/employment.php on line 5

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'WA_CMS/WA_CMS.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/content/g/z/i/gzirfas/html/employment.php on line 5

I have moved the page from employment.php to employment1.php. (can't have the page missing or broken

The CMS is working fine If I can get this path thing worked out.

What is the url to the page with the error? I'll take a look and figure out the cause.
