user level access

I have gone into the login.php page, and opened the SA authenticate user server behaviors, and added a session variable for the user_Level column.

Then in access rules manager, i've duplicated "logged into users", and added allow if <?php echo $_SESSION['user_Level']; ?> = 2 and named the rule admin.

I've applied the rule to my admin page. I've logged in with a user having a value of 2 in the user_Level column, but when I try to access the admin page through a link, I am redirected to the login.php page (as my page access rule states on fail) and my url shows login.php?accesscheck=%2Ftest%2Fisrc%2Findex.php%3F

After creating the access rule, did you upload the webassist/security_assist files to the server?

can you send a copy of the login page and the webassist/security_assist/helpergrouprules.php file

I did upload the SA folder, and thought that might be the issue as well, so I uploaded the whole webassist folder just in case I missed something.

One thing I should probably note is that I added the user_level column to my database after I ran the SA wizard...lack of prior planning and all.

Thanks again

In the Admin user rule, there are 2 condition, the first is to check the logged in URL variable, remove that one so that only the condition for the user_level session is left.

Thank you! I ended up having to delete the rule I created, and exit the Access Rules Manager to get the helpergroupsrulesphp.php file to refresh, and then recreate the rule with only the user_level criteria.

Thanks again and for such quick support!!
