MySQL error

I am getting MySQL error 2000 when attempting to make a Dynamic MySQL connection. I am trying to connect to a hostgator webhost.

This is a problem on the MySQL Server and will need to be corrected by the host.

is there any clues I can give them at to the problem they are having. They are going to ask some questions. Hostgator is a popoular host and I usually do not have issues with them.

The error message and the conditions you are encountering the error should be enough.

I finally got the connection working. Now, when I try to add CMS content to the page, Dreamweaver crashes. I called Adobe, but they will not help since this is a 3rd party product. Any ideas?

are you adding CMS to a php page? make sure you have a php page open when trying add Power CMS.

At what point does it crash? when loading add the power CMS Content window? or after you have configured the settings?

have you tried these:
reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

It still crashes pretty regularly, but at least have the admin installation area appear. But, wont let me install. See attachment

the error is saying the power CMS tables already exist in this database.

rename the tables to something else in the database or delete them in order to run the install.

this still crashes everytime I try to use webassist. There is no longer a cache file delete.

Additionally, webassist hosed all my javascript files and broke my website. I have spent hours resetting this up. Now, webassist won't work.

I would like my money back if I cannot use this system. I have never had any success with this product. What next!!

what is your OS?

What version of Dreamweaver?

What Extensions including the version numbers are installed?

At what point does the crash happen?

Have you tried disabling the Preview?

go to WebAssist -> Preferences. in the preview section, select the option to disable the preview.
