eCart 6 transaction failure with Authorize.net

I'm new to eCart 6 and I finally got most of the issues sorted out, but now the cart isn't passing the info to authorize.net. I only get the transaction failed page. My payment gateway credentials are correct, but I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting with the changes on eCart 6.

add the following code to the failure page, it will write the session contents to the page and include the response from the gateway:

<?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?>

post that info back in a private message.

the response back from authorize.net is:
["WAAuthNet"]=> string(265) "3::2::13::The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.::::P::0::::::11.24::::auth_capture::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::***************::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::"

it is saying the The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive. if you are sure you have the correct info entered, contact authorize.net to determine why it is being rejected.

Go to webassist -> eCart -> Gateway credentials.

in the gateway list, select Authorize.net and make sure the sand box option is not enabled.
