issues with dreamweaver cc after downloading webassist

upon attempting to open dreamweaver cc, two messages display(one after the other) stating that dream weaver will not open due to a javascript error with webassist. The other says something about the configuration of webassist. I click "ok" on both messages and dream weaver finally does open. once open, the welcome screen no longer displays. These issues all began immediately after downloading webassist. Please help

reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

did you run the webassist installer after installing the extensions in the extension manager?

If not, Open a PHP page, that should trigger the WA Installer to compete installing the extensions.
