Adding field to existing Security Assist generated page that will update the database upon submission.

I have a series of pages created by Security Assist. I want to add a field to the registration page that will update the database. I've looked. Is there a step-by-step tutorial that can walk me through the entire process? I have created the new row in the database. I've tried placing my cursor in the spot where I want this new field to appear on the page and clicked the + sign on the server behaviors panel and gone to Webassist>Dataassist>Insert>Insert Single Record. Can I leave the trigger on "any form post"? The correct connection and table are each selected. Should I put something in the Save Inserted ID in Session,Store as:? On the bindings panel I see my newly created column. I highlight it and then click the lightening bolt to the right of the value field but my newly created column is not listed under Registration_Basic_Default.

Am I doing any of this correctly? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance!

First add the form element to the registration form, insert -> Form -> Text Field.

then open the server behaviors panel, in the list of server behaviors, double click the insert record behavior to edit the one that is already on the registration page.

on the bindings panel, bind the new database column to the new form element.
