HTML Editor and CSS formating

Hi everyone,

I am using HTML Editor to add data to my site, the data added has h tags (h1, h2 h3 etc...) my question is, let say I want to display that data as an excerpt in other pages but just as paragraph, how do I can do that, I have a div that is a little content box and Css made for that div, but it doesn't seem to work, how to overwrite the tags?

Thank you

Hi Jason,

Sorry for my confusing question

The HTML Editor stores all the data formatted, strong, h1, etc. everything is stored in the database, but if I want to display the same data formatted differently in another page, let say I want all H1 as Paragraph, how can I do that if the data stored has a predefine format on the database already?

I hope this makes more sense to you

Thank you

the database content should be displayed using a div with a class, for example:
<div class="myClass">
<database content here>
</div>

then create css to reset all of the tags using the class as the parent selector:

<style type="text/css">
.myClass h1,.myClass h2,.myClass h3,.myClass strong {
font-size:12px;

}
</style>

this CSS will set the font size to 12 for any h1, h2, h3, or strong tag that is a child of the div with class set to MyClass

the answer is Inheritance. You can create a class or id for the div with the content.
